Teen Halloween Story Writing Competition – Day 1

Join us and create your own spooky story with us. These writing session are for you to write in peace, get ideas and advice from peers, and make some friends along the journey.  Make it about pumpkins, goblins, gargoyles, anything that has a Halloween theme.  The librarian’s will be the judges and vote on a winner.

Storytime and Craft

Bring the little ones for a storytime session about planes and flying, just in time for National Aviation Day! We will read some stories about planes and flying, and create a paper airplane to take home.

Teen Book Discussion

Bring your friends and discussion your favorite book or choose a book to discuss each month. Discuss what books you loved, what books you disliked, what books you couldn’t put down and the ones you just couldn’t finish, if there are any. Watch a movie adaptaion and discuss the differences between the book and the movie. Which did you like better?Â

Teen Movie Night

Join us for a action packed; adventurous movie night watching Eragon. In his homeland of Alagaesia, a farm boy happens upon a dragon’s egg — a discovery that leads him on a predestined journey where he realizes he’s the one person who can defend his home against an evil king.

Lego Night

Bring the little ones to play and build with our mega lego blocks! Or the older kids can use the regular lego blocks and create someting more challenging. If you are an adult, see what you can create in an hour with the legos we have. Be creative and let your imaginations lead the way!

Teens Girls Who Code Club (6th-12th Graders)

A fantastic approach to expose children to technology is through coding! Learn at your own pace! Find out the basics of coding, create apps, games and websites, and the best part, there is no experience necessary. We provide you a step-by-step approach to learning coding. Join us for some coding fun!

This event is for 3rd through 5th graders only.

Snacks and Juice will be provided.
