Bring the little ones for a story time session about pumpkins, just in time for the fall season! We will read some stories about Rebecca Estelle, a woman who has hated pumpkins ever since she was a girl and her family had nothing else to eat, finds herself with a full crop of them, a story about four brothers who after a bountiful harvest dispose of unneeded seeds, the seeds suddenly go flying with the wind and cover the town below, but the brothers think nothing more about it, and a story about families who donate their uncarved pumpkins to the zoo, the animals chomp, chew, play, and give hearty hoorays for their favorite squishy squash.
When the stories are complete we will create an adorable pumpkin craft from https://www.simpleeverydaymom.com/pumpkin-craft-for-preschoolers/
Snacks and juice will be provided.
All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Thornton and East Hazel Crest Libraries reserve the right to cancel or reschedule this event.
